About

I have been helping women since 2007 learn how to love their bodies, be active and how eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring or bland!  I am trainer and a certified fitness nutrition coach!

Eleven years ago had my first son and gained 80lbs with him. I struggled losing the weight but then once I decided to make myself a priority the weight came off!

I then decided to become a personal trainer to help other new moms. I trained clients at parks, in their homes and opened the 2nd boot camp in orleans (at the time there was only one other one!) with my dad. I was in amazing shape and I helped a lot of people! I then found out I was pregnant and then at 19 weeks found out we were having twins! I continued to train my clients and workout. I ate sensibly but wanted to make sure my babies were a good weight when they were born and I gained 65lbs. I had to stop training clients at 28 weeks and the most I could was walk to the mailbox. They were born healthy and big! I resumed exercising as soon as I could!

When my twins were 6 months old I was in a bad car accident and my left ankle was crushed. They operated on it and I had to get 12 screws and 2 plates put in to repair my ankle.  My dr told me it was likely I would never run again. This broke my heart. I became very depressed and felt sorry for myself. I was at home with 2 babies and 4 year old and couldn’t even do the simplest tasks. After a few months of self pity I started to lift weights in my wheel chair, go up and down the stairs on my crutches as cardio and become as mobile as possible.

A year after my accident I was able to run and started teaching a boot camp. I was also working full time but then having to go back out at night after being gone all day was too hard on my family. I wanted to continue in the health and fitness field but was struggling to find something that suited me, and a company that had the same beliefs. I did a lot of research about beachbody and knew that because they encouraged eating well and exercise to reach your goals – this was the company for me!

On Oct 1, 2012 Canadians were allowed to sign up as coaches with Beachbody. I was one of the first coaches in Canada to sign up and I have never regretted my decision since. I signed up with Beachbody because they believe in eating well and exercise to reach your goals.

I’m a firm believer in having balance in your life being able to indulge on occasion but also nourishing your body with good wholesome foods and exercises so you can live an amazing life.

My children are now a tad older and I have been yearning to do something that brought me back to my roots, which is how my SHINE program was born!

I have designed this program with the intention to empower women to take control of their lives so you can SHINE; have a healthy relationship with food and a healthy body image, increase your confidence, take control of your health, increase your energy levels, sleep better, improve your mood, work towards your fitness goals and look and feel amazing!  There is so much information out there on what to eat, when to eat, to go carb free, low fat, high protein, etc, it can make us a little crazy trying to understand it all! This program is broken into 3 modules, each module lasting one week that incorporates a weekly meal plan, a weekly exercise plan, weekly challenges, weekly advice and weekly ways to include your family on your healthy journey.

Nutrition and fitness have been way over complicated, it’s now time to take control and empower yourself with the knowledge and tools to take control of your life so you can SHINE!

I am the founder and creator of ‘The Perfectly Imperfect Fit Gals’. This was created as my tribe to bring all of the perfectly imperfect moms, wives, aunts, nana’s, grandma’s, sisters and friends together who LOVE to live a balanced life but also indulge at same time!  It’s all about balance!

The Perfectly Imperfect Fit Gals:
We are strong
We are real
We struggle to drink enough water every day
We like wine
We like chocolate and pizza and fries and donuts and cake and burgers and candy
We exercise for at least 30 mins a day, 5-6x a week (so we can indulge with chocolate, pizza and wine)
We have and will likely in the future eat candy in a closet where our kids/spouses can’t see us
We like active wear
We embrace our curves
We do our best to be healthy
We can spend hours on pinterest and lose track of time and don’t feel guilty about it
We like salads. Yes that’s right, we like salad
We let our kids watch tv and sometimes eat fast food
We have homes that are messy but clean
We take time for ourselves
We grow and strive to be the best person we can be
We do not talk negatively about ourselves (or anyone else)
We embrace our flaws
We can and will help others whenever we can
We are real. We are gals. We are making our dreams come true.

I have a team of incredible women who I get to work with everyday!

I am excited every morning to get up and do what I love!! ❤
